Analysis of the status quo and suitable applications

The aim of the work package is to gain an in-depth understanding of the challenges and needs of SMEs, training providers and teachers from the energy industry with regard to the training and further education of various target groups. This will create a basis for understanding how XR solutions can help to meet qualification challenges in a meaningful way and create added didactic value.

The priority of the work package is to identify representative needs for the players in the energy industry. Special attention will be paid to the identification of separating and connecting elements in these needs. In addition, technical and organizational hurdles regarding the future use of XR-supported learning units are to be worked out.

The clear definition of needs and user groups makes it possible to define concrete usage options and applications for the use of XR. Only with clearly defined use cases that reflect the educational reality of the target groups can needs-based XR solutions be found in further work packages that bring practical added value to teaching.
